3 found dead in Sylhet

Three people, including a teenage girl, were found dead in different parts of Sylhet district on Friday.

Nazrul Islam, in-charge of Bandarbazar police camp under Kotwali Police Station, said a hotel employee was found dead at Sunflower Hotel in Dhopadighir Par in the city early Friday.

The deceased was identified as Tera Mia, 34, son of late Jalil Mia of Jararkona village in Dharmapasha upazila of Sunamganj district.

Being informed by the hotel authorities, police recovered the body of Tera Mia.

The body bore several marks of injury and his legs were tied up with rope, said police

Besides, police recovered the throat-slit body of an unidentified young girl aged about 13 at Joypasha area in Kulaura municipality area around 8 am on Friday.

Meanwhile, a tea garden worker was found hanging from a tree at Hazinagar Tea State in Rajnagar upazila of the district around 9 am.

The deceased was identified as Manua Kal, 35, son of Narayan Kal.

Police sent the bodies to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue.
