Ctg DHL office fire under control

A fire that broke out at a DHL (Parcel & Courier Service) office in Chittagong Export Processing Zone (EPZ) at South Halishahar in the port city this morning has been brought under control.

None was reported injured in the fire that started around 11:45am, reports our Chittagong correspondent.

On information, 11 firefighting units rushed in and put out the flame after an hour of frantic efforts, said Assaduzzaman, deputy director of Fire Service and Civil Defence in Chittagong.

The reason behind the fire and extent of damage caused by the fire could not be ascertained immediately, fire service sources said.
