DGHS gets Tk 50 crore for coronavirus-related expenditure

The finance ministry has released Tk 50 crore for the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) to facilitate the treatment of coronavirus-infected people and to prevent the spread of the virus.

The finance division sent a letter to the DGHS in this regard yesterday.

According to the letter, the finance division has given nearly Tk 46 crore for the treatment of coronavirus-infected people and supplying medical equipment. Tk 1.98 crore has been allocated for publication and Tk 2.50 crore for chemical reagent.

The finance division has asked the DGHS to utilise the funds specifically for coronavirus-related expenditure, added the letter.
