A truck driver suffered burn injuries as miscreants set fire to the vehicle by hurling a petrol bomb in Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat early today.

Injured Maminul Haque,42, was rushed to Patgram Upazila Health Complex.

Rezaul Karim, officer-in-charge of Patgram Police Station, said miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at the truck when it was passing through Jummarpar on the Lalmanirhat-Burimari highway around 1:00am, leaving its driver injured.

Informed, a firefighting unit rushed in and put out the blaze.

Police also arrested four persons -- Rabiul Islam, 35, Shah Alam, 25, Samiul, 28 and Bappi, 22, -- for their alleged involvement in the incident.
