Jhalakathi land office set on fire

Miscreants set fire to a land office in Jhalakathi Sadar upazila early today, burning down important documents of the office.

The fire gutted all the documents and furniture of the four, out of five rooms of the office in Polabalia union anytime after midnight, our Jhalakathi correspondent reports quoting Shilomoni Chakma, officer-in-charge of Jhalakathi Sadar Police Station.

Locals put out the blaze after they noticed the flame around 2:30am, the OC said.
