McCullum hits fastest WC 50
New Zealand hard-hitting batsman Brendon McCullum struck the fastest fifty in the history of Cricket World Cup at Wellington against England today.
In a low-scoring match, McCullum reached his half-century mark from only 18 balls when he began the chase of 123 runs posted by the English batsmen.
His assault on the English bowlers ended, when he missed a full-toss from Chris Woakes and got bowled, after smashing 77 runs from 25 balls, with 8 fours and 7 sixes.
Earlier, Tim Southee rocked the England batting line-up with seven wickets to his name.
