1/11 masterminds had support of politicians: Quader

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said the masterminds of the 1/11 political changeover would not have dared the move if they did not have support from politicians.

“We all, those who were in jail and who were not, should take lesson from the 1/11,” he said while addressing a programme in the capital.

The minister was speaking as chief guest at a programme of unveiling a video documentary on the life of Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman titled ‘History’s Great Hero—Itihasher Mohanayak’ at the Public Library.

Addressing as chief guest at the programme, the minister said many politicians supported the controversial activities of the military-backed caretaker government in order to get benefit.

He urged all to remain alert so that no such incident recurs in the country again.
