Arrest warrant for Rafiqul, 14 other BNP men

A Dhaka court today issued arrest warrants against 15 BNP leaders and activists including its standing committee member Barrister Rafiqul Islam Miah in a case filed for torching a vehicle in Dhaka this year.

Judge Kamrul Hossain Mollah of Metropolitan Session Judges Court passed the order after accepting charges against 21 including the 15 accused.

Amanullah Aman, Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas and Maruf Kamal Khan are among the 15 BNP men.

The court asked the officer-in-charge of Pallabi Police Station to submit by August 6 a report on execution of the arrest warrant.

The case was filed with the police station after a vehicle was set on fire at Pallabi in the capital on January 26 this year.
