BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today alleged the government has been trying to hide the facts regarding the attack on BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s motorcade.

“You (reporters) all know who attacked on the motorcade because all media channels and newspapers published the news,” he said.

“Now the ruling party has begun to spread propaganda. But the ruling party leaders can not confuse people,” he said at a press conference at Chittagong Circuit House.

Criticising Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, he said, “I hoped that he (Obaidul) will identify the attackers and will take action against them”.

“But he (Obaidul) did not do so and provoked terrorism,” Fakhrul alleged.
