Khaleda greets Hasina for Eid

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia today sent an Eid greeting card to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

A three-member BNP delegation, led by its Assistant Office Secretary Taiful Islam Tipu, handed over a greetings card to Awami League’s former Assistant Secretary Sikandar Ali at the AL president’s Dhanmondi office in Dhaka.

BNP’s assistant office secretaries Munir Hossain and Belal Ahmed were also present at that time.

"Madam (Khaleda) sent Eid greeting card to Awami League President Sheikh Hasina and we handed over the card,” Tipu told The Daily Star.

Earlier, PM Hasina yesterday sent an Eid card greeting Khaleda.

Khaleda Zia who went to London on July 15 for medical treatment is likely to return home after celebrating the Eid there with her family members.

Sheikh Hasina and Khaleda Zia have not met each other in recent times. However, both of them exchange greeting cards during Eid and invite each other to iftar parties every year.
