Sushma to visit Dhaka on Oct 23
India’s External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will pay a two-day official visit to Bangladesh to attend the India-Bangladesh joint consultative commission meeting in Dhaka on October 23 and 24.
This was stated by visiting Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Shahidul Haque at a media conference after wrapping up a two-day visit to New Delhi.
The joint consultative commission will review the entire range of bilateral issues and review the progress in implementation of the decisions taken during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Dhaka in June 2015 and his Bangladesh counterpart Sheikh Hasina’s visit to Delhi in April this year.
While the consultative commission meeting will be chaired by Swaraj and Bangladesh Foreign Minister A H Mahmud Ali, the Indian external affairs minister is likely to call on Prime Minister Hasina.
