Hold polls before time runs out, Mahbubur urges govt

BNP standing committee member Lt Gen (retd) Mahbubur Rahman today urged the government to hold an inclusive parliamentary election soon saying time for solution to what he termed “the existing political impasse” is running out.

“Hold a fair and inclusive election before time runs out,” the BNP leader said while addressing a discussion at Jatiya Press Club.

Jatiyatabadi Sangskritik Dal arranged the discussion titled ‘No alternative to inclusive national polls to overcome political crisis’.

“The current crisis is not only harming the politics, but also damaging the country’s economy,” he observed.
