Minister Sayedul Hoque laid to rest
Fisheries and Livestock Minister Muhammed Sayedul Hoque has been laid to eternal rest at his family graveyard in Brahmanbaria’s Nasirnagar upazila.
Before burial, a third namaz-e-janaza was held to pray for the departed soul in SEDP Model High School in Purbobagh village, our local correspondent reports from the spot.
His son Dr Rayhanul Hoque led the janaza. The minister was buried beside the graves of his parents around 4:10pm.
Sayedul Hoque, who was a close aide of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and an organiser of freedom fighters in 1971, died on Saturday at a hospital in the capital.
The veteran politician had been admitted at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University hospital since September 17 with multiple age related complications. He was put on life support on Wednesday.
His first namaz-e-janaza was held at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad at 9:00am today.
