Khaleda to be sent abroad if doctors say so: Quader
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will be sent abroad for treatment if the doctors say, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said today.
"No inhumane behaviour will be shown to Khaleda Zia. Our government will take necessary step if she falls sick in jail," Quader said hours after BNP raised its voice over Khaleda Zia's sudden illness in jail.
Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, was addressing a press conference at the party President Sheikh Hasina's Dhanmondi political office this noon.
Quader blasted his BNP counterpart Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir for “excessive concern” over Khaleda’s health issue and said the government will do everything necessary.
"Khaleda Zia will be sent abroad if doctor thinks so, and everything will be arranged for her treatment," the Awami League leader said.
Earlier in the day, voicing concern over Khaleda Zia's sudden illness in jail, BNP urged the government to ensure immediately release of Khaleda Zia for her better treatment either at home or abroad.
