Law Minister Anisul Huq said BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will be taken to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) for a medical checkup today as her personal doctors claimed that she had suffered a mild stroke.

Khaleda Zia’s physicians yesterday told the media that she had suffered a mild stroke in jail on June 5 and she became senseless.

The law minister said this while talking to reporters during distribution of cars among the district judges at his secretariat office in Dhaka.

Khaleda Zia who is accused in 34 cases, was sent to jail on February 8 after a Dhaka court sentenced her to five years imprisonment in Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case.
