Khaleda returns home
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia reached her Gulshan house in Dhaka after concluding her four-day visit to Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar.
Khaleda Zia reached her residence around 9:00pm, reports our staff correspondent who is with the motorcade.
Earlier in the day, the BNP chairperson left Chittagong for Dhaka around 2:00pm.
She stayed at Chittagong Circuit House at night after concluding her visit to the Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar district yesterday.
Hundreds of BNP activists and supporters stood on the roads to greet the former premier while she reached Sitakunda in Chittagong around 3:30pm.
The law enforcers were also stood on the roads to avoid unwanted situation, our staff correspondent said.
She visited Rohingya camps at Moynargona, Hakim Para and Balukhali and a medical camp set up by Doctors Association of Bangladesh, a pro-BNP physicians' body, in Ukhia.
The BNP chief started her journey for Cox’s Bazar from Dhaka on Saturday. Her motorcade came under attack when she reached Feni en route to Cox’s Bazar on the same day.
