Khaleda visits Koko’s grave on his birthday
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia today visited the grave of her younger son Arafat Rahman Koko at Banani Graveyard on his 46th birthday and offered Fateha there.
The BNP chief reached the Banani Graveyard around 5:30pm. A munajat, seeking salvation for Koko’s departed soul, was also offered.
A milad mahfil and recitation from the holy Quran on the grave premises were arranged by the Arafat Rahman Koko Smrity Sangsad. Cooked food was distributed among poor people on the occasion.
The BNP also arranged a doa mahfil on this occasion at the party’s Nayapaltan central office after Asr prayers.
BNP Vice-Chairman Abdullah Al Noman, International Affairs Secretary Asaduzzaman Ripon, Jubo Dal President Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal were, among others, present at the programme.
Arafat Rahman Koko died of cardiac arrest at his rented house in Malaysia on January 24 this year.
