Tablets will replace schoolbooks: Minister
Bangladesh will replace the burden of schoolbooks with tablets for children in the future, Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen said today.
“Instead of carrying a pile of books students of Digital Bangladesh would go to school with just an ipad in future,” he said at a programme in Sylhet.
“E-learning will enable the students to acquire knowledge from a global platform through which we would be able to develop as a nation,” he said.
“Technology can be the means of turning our population into asset,” the minister said, according to a press release issued from the foreign ministry.
He urged the students to have faith in themselves and added that the teachers should earnestly learn about technology so that they could teach properly.
The foreign minister was addressing an e-learning fair under the Secondary Education Sector Investment Program (SESIP) at Police Line High School in Sylhet.
