None could tarnish BCL’s image: Tofail
Awami League Advisory Council Member Tofail Ahmed today claimed that nobody could tarnish the reputation of Bangladesh Chhatra League in the past.
He made the claim while addressing the council of Chhatra League Dhaka North at Kalabagan playground in Dhaka this afternoon.
A former president of Chhatra League himself, Tofail Ahmed, now the commerce minister, warned activists to remain alert so that the “clean slate” of the student front remains in the future.
Referring to recent BNP-Jamaat anti-government movement, Tofail said BNP chairperson went silent after she realized that violent and subversive activities are not the ways of movement.
“You have to play the pivotal role in the move of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina who is firm to her target,” he called upon the Chhatra League leaders and activists.
AL Joint General Secretary Jahangir Kabir Nanok, its lawmaker Fazle Noor Taposh, former BCL leaders Liakat Shikdar, Ishak Mia, Tasvirul Haque Anu, current BCL President HM Badiuzzaman Sohag and General Secretary Siddique Nazmul Alam also spoke at the occasion.
The incumbent committee of the Dhaka City (north) unit was announced dissolved in the occasion, while the new committee will be formed on May 30, said BCL President HM Badiuzzaman Sohag.
