AL to share 75 seats with alliance members: Quader

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today said that 75 seats will be allotted for the member parties of the 14-party alliance in the upcoming 11th national elections.

"We are finalising the list of candidates for the party. Then, we will sit with the member parties," Quader said at a press conference at AL president's Dhanmondi office this noon.

"Expectations of the alliance members are many. The alliance is in our minds. We will finalise the nominations very soon," he added.

Replying to another query, Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, said that nominations seekers who are holding public offices at union parishad, upazila, pourashava and city corporation levels will not be given nomination if there are no special needs.
