BNP to sell nomination forms for Rangpur-3 by-polls Thursday

BNP will sell nomination forms on Thursday among party men willing to contest the upcoming by-election to Rangpur-3 constituency with its ticket.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi came up with the announcement at a press briefing at BNP’s Nayapaltan central office today.

He said party nomination seekers would be able to collect the forms at Tk 10,000 each from their central office.

After filling the forms, the aspirants would have to submit them along with Tk 25,000 security deposit the following day.

The party’s nomination board would interview the aspirants at 5pm on Saturday at BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan office to pick the most suitable candidate for the by-polls.

The by-election to Rangpur-3 seat which fell vacant following the death of Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad will be held on October 5.

According to the election schedule announced by the Election Commission, the deadline for the submission of nomination papers is September 9.

The date for scrutinising the nomination papers is September 11 and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is September 16.
