BNP welcomes Oli’s Jatiya Muktimancha

BNP has welcomed today the new platform floated by Liberal Democratic Party President Oli Ahmed, “Jatiya Muktimancha”.

BNP welcomes any initiative for Khaleda Zia’s release and restoration of democracy, BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said.

He was speaking to journalists after visiting the grave of Ziaur Rahman at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital this afternoon.

Oli Ahmed yesterday announced to float the new platform to realise their 18-point demand, including the release of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and restoration of democracy.

Fakhrul also pulled reference of Rifat’s murder in Barguna and said that due to the politicisation of the law enforcement forces, incident’s like Rifat’s murder in Barguna are happening every now and then as the culprits are freed without being punished.
