No untoward incident on Feb 8: Home minister

No untoward occurrence will take place in Bangladesh over the graft case verdict of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on February 8, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said today.

“What will happen on February 8? Her (Khaleda) trial is being held according to law. There is no question for taking any additional preparation ahead of the verdict,” said the minister.

He came up with the remarks responding to questions while talking to reporters after he made a courtesy call with Hefazat-e-Islam’s chief Allama Safi in Hathazari upazila of Chittagong this afternoon.

He said people of the country are very much peaceful and they hate vandalism and terrorist activities.

The verdict of Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and her son Tarique Rahman will be delivered on February 8.
