Party’s weeds to be uprooted: Quader
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has begun action in a bid to uproot weeds and others bad elements from Awami League and all of its affiliated bodies to keep the party’s image intact, party’s General Secretary Obaidul Quader said today.
“Not only in Dhaka, the purification drive will be conducted across the country to eliminate the weeds,” Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, came up with the warning at a programme in Cox’s Bazar this afternoon.
Rapid Action Battalion and other law enforcement agencies have already taken hardline in light with the zero-tolerance policy of the government against drug, corruption, abuse of power and other irregularities.
Hailing the recent such drives of the law enforcers, Quader said tender manipulators, grabbers, extortionists and corrupts will be eliminated through the crackdown.
“No matter, how the wrongdoers are politically influential, they must not be spared,” Quader said.
