BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia today called upon the government to bring Salahuddin Ahmed back to his family or produce him before court immediately.

“Law enforcement agencies have picked up Salahuddin. Either the government will get him back to his family or produce him before court right away,” she said.

Khaleda came up with the call when Salauddin’s wife Hasina Ahmed along with her son and daughter met the former premier at her Gulshan office in Dhaka this evening.

The BNP chief expressed her sympathy to Hasina Ahmed and her children.

Salahuddin's family alleged some plainclothes men showed identity cards of the Detective Branch of police and picked up the BNP joint secretary general from a house in the capital's Uttara on the night of March 10.
