Rohingya: BNP urges PM for India, China tour
BNP today urged Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to visit different countries including India and China to garner their support to resolve the Rohingya crisis.
“Government should take diplomatic steps immediately to send back the Rohingyas,” said BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
“If needed, the prime minister has to visit different countries,” he said at a discussion organised by Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal at the Institution of Engineers.
India and China are reportedly supporting Myanmar government in many ways to create a troublesome situation on bordering area over the Rohingya issue, Fakhrul said.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina should talk to India and China to stop the violence on Rohingya people,” he said.
He criticised Myanmar government over the Rohingya issue and said: “Myanmar is carrying out aggression on our independence by forcing its citizen to enter Bangladesh.”
“Please come to the main issue and mount pressure on Myanmar to stop the killing spree,” he said.
