AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, Awami League mayor candidate of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) elections, today expressed a strong confidence that he would clinch a landslide victory against his rivals.

"I am almost 100 per cent sure, I will win in the election. I have seen such enthusiasm among voters as they want change," Liton said while talking to reporters after casting his vote at Satellite Town High School polling centre at Uposhohor in the city.

He is hopeful that he would bag votes more than 70 per cent against his nearest candidate.

Voting in the elections to the city corporation among three cities, including Sylhet and Barisal began this morning.

The polling booths opened at 8:00am with hundreds of people waiting in queue in front of the polling centres to cast their votes.
