19 envoys visit Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar

Nineteen envoys of 15 countries today visited Rohingya refugee camps in Ukhia upazila of Cox's Bazar.

The diplomats reached Cox's Bazar airport around 10:00am and visited Balukhali and Kutupalong camps, reports our Cox's Bazar staff correspondent. During the visit, they talked to the Rohingyas especially women and children.

The ambassadors are from Bosnia, Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Ethiopia, Georgia, Egypt, Mauritius, Portugal, Slovenia, Ukraine, Zambia, Nigeria, Czech Republic, Austria, Ghana, New Zealand, Kenya and Fiji.

However, there are no permanent missions of the countries in Bangladesh. The nonresident ambassadors to Bangladesh discharge their duties from New Delhi in India.

Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Syed Moazzem Ali and its Deputy High Commissioner Rakib Uddin accompanied the envoys.
