Rohingyas to be taken back with dignity: Myanmar minister
Visiting Myanmar's cabinet minister today said Rohingyas will be taken back by giving them citizenship and with dignity.
"They (Rohingyas) will be taken back by giving citizenship with proper dignity and respect," Myanmar's Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Minister Win Myat Aye said after visiting Rohingya camps in Cox's Bazar.
The minister reached Coz's Bazar by a flight at 9:00am, visited Rohingyas at Ukhia and Kutopalong camps and talked to different stakeholders.
"Our government is working to get back them (Rohingyas). As a part of it, I have come to Bangladesh to witness their conditions," he told journalists after his two-and-a-half-hour visit.
A 12-member representative team from Myanmar arrived on a one-day visit to Bangladesh today and will return to Myanmar tomorrow.
