CEO gets cash reward for restarting work from home during Covid surge
"The money you make is a symbol of the value you create, Idowu Koyenikan had written, and I did just that by ensuring people get to work from home during the surge of this new Covid variant. I valued people's lives and that earned me cash recognition and general recognition of course."
These were the words of inspiration Dr Rognai Bahadur had to say when asked to share his thoughts after receiving a cash reward for allowing his company's employees to work from home during the current surge.
Dr Rognai's company is one of the leading corporations of the nation and just when the positivity rate started climbing, he decided to allow Work from Home.
"Despite growing number of cases, we had initially decided to keep our offices open because we are basically like a family and its important that we see each other regularly despite being unable to get along. That's the value of a family," said Dr Rognai while recounting how he came to the decision of WFH.
"I also told my esteemed colleagues that all we had to do was be careful and we would survive this. But when more and more of my colleagues started showing symptoms and wanted to use the office's medical insurance to get tested, I decided something needed to change.
"That is when I decided WFH needed to come back. Every family needs a break and we ended up saving a lot of money -- from medical insurance to office maintenance bills. And that is how I ended up donating a bunch of money to the brand that arranges these awards," said a smiling Dr Rognai.
Dr Rognai is just one of many CEOs who have been recognised for their shrewd ability to make money while pretending to care for people.
