Club senior says he discovered debating

A senior from Bangladesh Debate Union called a press conference at National Press Club today to "celebrate his part" in winning the World Universities Debating Championship.  

"Two students from BRAC University have recently won the biggest prize in debating, it was only possible because I invented debating back in 1936," said the senior citizen. "One cannot forget that I woke up one morning and the first words out of my mouth were 'Honourable Speaker' -- I also spearheaded the cancel culture in this country but no one gave me credit!"

The eminent figure also added that it was only because of him that many schools in Dhaka now teach English as a second language, and sought credit for the last time BRAC won the world championship in the English as Second Language category.

The senior ex-forum member also stated that "miscreants" lurk in the darkness, trying to steal credit from him. "If I didn't rub the two rocks and spark fire, these kids would not have been able to speak English with white teams, let alone win a debate!

"I am going to write to the World Committee with my mailing address, so the trophy from Belgrade is sent to me – with whom it truly belongs. I am also in consultation with G5S security to 'stop the steal' -- nobody can take this trophy from me, I deserve it," claimed the once-popular club senior.
