Local fruit juice giant launches no-mango mango juice
Local fruit juice giant, Tran Group of Companies Ltd, recently announced the launch of their new line of products called "the substitute".
The managing director, also son of the CEO of the founding group of companies who recently returned from studies abroad with a glitzy degree, inaugurated the programme.
The day-long programme which was lasted only half a day stayed true to its theme.
The venue was a lavish tent which can also be considered indoor depending on the customer's demand.
"My father was once criticised for using mishti kumra instead of mango in our mango juice line. But now that it has become trendy and encouraged, we thought it's time to rebrand and go back to the basics," the managing director said while briefing media.
"Our new product line basically works on the substitute principle. None of the products are what they really say they are. For example, our mango juice is made entirely with other vegetables and fruits and flavoured with mango essence. This is modern tech at work. Our batch of young engineers who we basically plucked out of Dholaikhal worked day and night on this new formulation," the MD added.
The Tran Group of Companies also managed to tick one CSR activity through this launch as well. They hired young engineers who have been jobless after graduation and had resorted to working in Dholaikhal (if you don't know what this is, then please do visit).
The programme ended with the cutting of a cheesecake made without any cheese.
