Writer is a simple app meant for writing pretty much anything. It has a 4.1 rating on Google Play and works both on phones and tablets. You can use it to take small notes, make lists, and write whole articles or novels. The user interface is sleek and minimalistic. There aren't many options other than writing plain text which makes it easy to use and quite hassle-free. You can also create separate folders to compartmentalise your documents, switch themes from light to dark, change the font and get basic document statistics. It is a lot like Google Keep, but simpler. Almost all the features are free except for a few that are available in the premium version, which of course requires you to pay a small amount. The app takes up very little space on your phone and is lighter than a lot of other similar apps. You can give it a go if you need to take notes and have limited space on your device.
