CMIS to organise Annual Sports and Spring Carnival 2020

Canadian Maple International School (CMIS) was established in January 2017 with the aim to create a positive impact in the educational sector of the country. To celebrate the completion of the 3rd academic year of the School, CMIS is arranging "Annual Sports and Spring Carnival 2020 in association with Luxe Bangladesh" on Saturday, February 29, 2020. This daylong event will take place at the CMIS permanent landmark in Satarkul, where the students will participate by putting up stalls with a variety of food, clothing, children's books, gaming corners, and agro-based products. Guest speakers will highlight current issues related to Education and Health.

The school promotes theme-based activities focused on social and international issues, with a tag line - where souls are purified, to purify life! According to the Principal Humaira Salmin, "The school wants to develop a generation of motivated individuals who will be able to lead our nation. CMIS targets to fulfil the gap in the early and primary years of education system and incorporate play-based syllabi to make learning a lifelong habit, to focus on the positives of challenges that students will encounter."

The physical and mental well-being of the students is ensured through extracurricular activities. These include Robotics, Karate, Cooking Club, Mental Math, Language Club and Debate Club. CMIS has teamed up with ActionAid Bangladesh to spread awareness of the ill-effects of global warming and proposes remedies to undertake steps that will educate the public to take responsibility for their actions.
