Independent University Bangladesh Debating Club (IUBDC) yet again bags another championship with their team IUB A, consisting of Aaqib Farhan Hossain and Zobayer Ahmed by winning DU IV 2019 organised by the Dhaka University Debating Society (DUDS) at the Teacher-Student Centre, University of Dhaka on the July 26-27, 2019.

Along with the championship on debate,Aaqib Farhan Hossain from IUB was awarded as the 2nd Best Speaker of the tournament while Zobayer Ahmed from IUB was awarded the Best Speaker in the finale of the tournament. Not only that, IUBDC baggedin victories of Top Adjudicators achieved by Archi Ananya, Sonaly Siddique, Fatima Ara Khan, Labiba Fairooz, Sadia Rowshan Sweta,Ahmed Imtiaz Samad and Saima Tasfia Roja. While club alumnus Fardeen Ameen was the Deputy Core Adjudicator and senior debater Archi Ananya was the Equity Officer of the tournament.

The format of the debate was the British Parliamentary with four teams in every round and the grand finale consisted of two teams from Institute of Business Administration, DU (IBA, DU) and one each from North South University (NSU) and IUB.
