Petty Never Grew and Embers in Snow to grace the stage one last time
Petty Never Grew and Embers in Snow have been two mainstays of the indie rock subgenre of the local Bangladeshi scene for the better part of the last decade. On the back of Pink Song and their sophomore album, The Pink Album, Petty Never Grew tugged at the heartstrings of an up and coming generation of music listeners.
The Pink Album, released in March 2019, was produced by singer, songwriter and audio engineer Rakat Zami. Rakat is also the front man of Embers in Snow, birthing a unique post rock and ambient soundscape to band music in the local scene with multiple EP releases and a debut album Solstice, released in July 2020.
On Friday, February 11, 2022, the two bands will grace the stage of Liberation War Museum for one final time, playing numbers from their respective albums, singles and unreleased songs. The event will be organised by Dhaka Broadcast and is scheduled to start at 5PM.
Tickets are priced at BDT 500 and will require audience members to follow all the necessary Covid-19 precautions.
