Scholarships that can make studying at University of Sydney possible
The University of Sydney, known for its excellence in research globally, ranks number 1 in Australia and 4 in the global ranking for graduate employability. Times Higher Education ranks the university among the top 60 universities globally in 2022. This university of unequivocal heritage was founded in 1850 as Australia's first university and is regarded as one of the world's leading universities.
Getting admitted to one of Australia's best universities requires the culmination of hard work, patience, and a heap of luck. On top of all that, the annual tuition fees could be hefty too. Eduko Pathways Bangladesh, one of the leading education consultation providers in the country recently joined hands with the University of Sydney to provide substantial scholarship opportunities to the meritorious students from both HSC and A-Levels backgrounds to pursue a bachelor's degree from the 486 programs available at the university. Also, there are ample opportunities for pursuing a Master's degree as well.
The university has established the Sydney International Student Award (Bangladesh) for outstanding international students from Bangladesh. Recipients will be awarded a university contribution of 20 percent of their tuition fees for the duration of their course. Apart from this, there are various merit based scholarships like the Vice-Chancellor International Scholarship, the Business School's International Scholarship, which offer A$5,000 to A$20,000 for the first year of their studies. Students can combine awards along with other scholarships offered by the University of Sydney.
Most of the scholarships are focused on students with a high academic track record. For Bachelor's programs, the university accepts global qualifications like International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, GCE A levels. HSC students cannot directly enrol on the university UG programs and will require an SAT score to apply. IELTS requirements vary from program to program. For post-grad, program entry requirements vary based on your undergraduate degree and university.
The Eduko Australia counselling team will assess students' profiles and match relevant criteria to ensure admission to one of Australia's Group of Eight University cohorts. The deadline to apply for both UG and PG programs for the July/ August intake session is June 30.
