NSU Finance Club hosts “Excellence Beyond Borders”
North South University Finance Club hosted a daylong event called "Excellence Beyond Borders"on July 7 for prospective graduates looking to pursue higher studies abroad. The goal of the event was to present students with a detailed perspective in regards to post-graduate education so that they can make informed decisions. It was divided into sessions that covered different regions worldwide. The programme started off with a session on tackling GRE/GMAT and went on to discuss the prospects of higher studies in USA, Canada, Europe (except UK), UK and Australia and lastly Asia.
Khan Muhammad Saqiful Alam, faculty member of NSU, began the seminar, covering tactics to studying GMAT while Zareen Tasnim Lazima advised on how to do well in GRE. The second session of the event saw Tasnia Khandaker talking about different opportunities of studying in USA. Faculty member Jamy Mohaimen shared his experiences of US universities and pointed out intrinsic factors which make a university more suitable for specific students. The session on Canada was conducted by Rubaiyat Shams and Kashfah Khan Chowdhury. Mohammad Tahmid Kabir discussed European universities and the scholarships over there in the next session. Bilkish Barkat Ali outlined the conditions and expenses for studying in UK and Sadia Zaman did the same regarding Australia. Finally, Kifayet Amina Ahmad Esha covered a range of Asian countries which provide golden opportunities for Bangladeshi students.
As the event was concluded, certificates were handed out to every participant and small tokens of appreciations were given to the associate partners.
