Go for selfies & check-ins, stay for art

Folks going to Classical Music Festival, Bengal Boi, and the recently ended Dhaka Art Summit for selfies and check-ins were a thing. Folks shaming the above-mentioned folks going to what's perceive as “highbrow” cultural events for said selfies and check-ins were also a thing. 

My question to the self-appointed cultural gatekeepers: why do you care so much? As long as they are not [literally] sitting on you, people can do as they please. Let folks take selfies at Bengal Boi or check in at the Classical Music Festival or Dhaka Art Summit – more exposure to art/music/literature can only be a good thing. God knows we need it.
