I am not fond of change.

When I wake up every morning (or noon, to be more specific) I want things to be exactly the way it was the day before. So, the idea of "new year, new me" doesn't really entertain me. It puts me off if anything. After all, why bother to change when you know that whatever is to happen will eventually happen?

Our fates are already written. 

I can't change my fate. However, I understand that I can always give it a shot. I have learned to embrace change over the years, especially in the last two. Be it in my personal or professional life, I now see that fate is inevitable, but so is change. Thus, I have now grown more open to change. I welcome them warmly if I like them, and try to work things out if I don't. However, I no longer ignore them.
