The language of flowers

Apart from red roses signifying love, it is not commonly known that flowers can hold special meanings. But flowers have their own language. They can be used to express your feelings without speaking. they add a visual effect to the plain old message. So without farther ado, let me introduce you to the language of flowers.

RED ROSES
Red roses are an obvious choice when you are giving someone a gift, not only because of their availability but also because of our familiarity with them. When you give someone red roses, you are saying, "I love you." The red colour emphasizes the intensity of the emotion. This makes red roses common for proposals.

HEATHER 
Purple heather represents admiration and beauty, so if you simply adore someone, purple heather can convey your message. As for pink heather, it is associated with good luck, whereas white heather is meant to ward off danger. 

PINK ROSES
They are a sign of happiness. This can be interpreted in various ways. When you give someone pink roses, it could mean you wish them to be happy.  Also, it could be interpreted as the celebration of the happiness you two share together. Use them whenever you wish to celebrate joy.

AZALEAS
Pink and perfect, azaleas hold a very tender message – "Please take care of yourself, for me." It is a beautiful way to remind your loved ones how important they and their welfare are to you.

CAMELLIAS
These beauties come in several shades, each holding its own message. Pink camellias express profound yearning and can be perfect for presenting to a cherished one who resides abroad. White camellias hold a simple but sweet message – "You are adorable."  And as with all things red, red camellias express passionate love.

CHRYSANTHEMUMS
Like their sunshine colour, chrysanthemums are a beacon of hope in dark times.

JASMINES
Jasmines are common on the streets of Dhaka but did you know that they stand for modesty, humility, and amiability?

TULIPS 
Once again, different-coloured tulips stand for different things. Red tulips can be used to declare love, with the request, "Believe me." Variegated tulips say ,"You have beautiful eyes", and yellow tulips tell the receiver, "You have sunshine in your smile." WATER LILY
It should be of little surprise that our national flower stands for perfect beauty.

GARDENIAS

YELLOW CARNATIONS
They symbolize friendship. When you give yellow carnations to your friend, it means you are thanking them for being there for you. It shows how you adore your friend and would like to sincerely say how much they mean to you. These flowers are your best option for Friendship Day.

LILIES
Though they are mostly linked with funerals in the West, lilies are also associated with unconditional love. Perhaps that is the reason they are used in funerals, because with lilies we declare our undying love for the ones who are gone. 

GLADIOLUS
This flower signifies strength. It could convey that you are thankful for his or her strength or it might be that you are urging someone to be strong at a time of crisis. At any instant, gladiolus encourages courage.

AMBROSIA
Finally, if you want to answer to a proposal with a flower, ambrosia would be a good choice as it stands for requited love.
