The General Meeting of the American International University Bangladesh (AIUB) was held in the Microsoft Teams online platform on June 28, 2020. Deans, Associate Deans, Registrar, Program Directors, Head of the Departments, Faculty Members and Officials joined the meeting at 12 PM. For the very first time the Microsoft Live Meeting feature was used to hold this online meeting.

Dr. Carmen Z Lamagna, Vice Chancellor of AIUB welcomed everyone in the meeting in her opening speech. At the beginning, a minute of silence was observed in remembrance of Mohammod Hafizur Rahman, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Science and Technology who passed away earlier on June 6, 2020.

Later Dr. Lamagna appreciated everyone's effort and patience in upholding the spirit of AIUB and for successfully completing the Spring 2019-20 semester even during this unprecedented time of crisis caused by Covid-19. She was overwhelmed by the enthusiastic response from students in registering for Summer 2019-20 semester and wished everyone an engaging and fruitful semester ahead. The Academic calendar of Summer 2019-20 was discussed where Dr. Lamagna emphasised on some important guidelines for the faculty members. AIUB's affiliation with Coursera was also mentioned in the meeting and how AIUB faculty members, officials, students and alumni are benefitted was also highlighted. 

Prof. Dr. Siddique Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Prof. Dr. Tazul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Science also spoke on this occasion.
