Bangladesh wins 1 silver and 3 bronze medals at European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad 2023

Gonitkonya, the Bangladesh Girls' Math Team, has won one silver medal and three bronze medals at the European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad 2023 (EGMO 2023). 

Nujhat Ahmed Disha, a student set to sit for her HSC in 2024 from Viqarunnisa Noon School & College, won the silver medal by fully solving five out of six problems. The three bronze winners include Afsana Akter from Holy Cross College, Arifa Alam from St. Francis Xavier's Girls' School & College and Saniva Rakib Soha from Monipur High School And College. Afsana Akhter partially solved four out of six problems while Arifa Alam and Saniva Rakib Soha both fully solved two problems and partially solved one problem.

This year, the Bangladesh team scored a total of 92 points and ranked 20th among the 55 participating countries.
