Bangladeshi debaters reach final of World Universities Debating Championship (WUDC) 2022

Sajid Asbat Khandaker and Sourodip Paul, representing BRAC A, have made it into the Open Finals of the Belgrade World Universities Debating Championship (WUDC) 2022. 

Sajid and Sourodip are both current students of BRAC University. They are the very first team from Bangladesh to make it to the finals of this illustrious event, which is often referred to as the "world cup of debating". 

Prior to making it into the finals of this event, Sajid and Sourodip were ranked fifth in the Open Category, during the preliminary rounds of the tournament. This shattered the previous record ever held by any Bangladeshi team — a record which was in fact held by the same pair.

The final will take place today at 7:00 PM Bangladesh time, where they will face teams from Princeton University, National University of Singapore, and Ateneo de Manila University. It will be streamed live on the Belgrade WUDC Live Streams Facebook page.
