In the past two trips that I've been to, I have responsible for handling accommodations, making sure everyone is well-fed and in one piece, and maintaining a thorough checklist of the finances. If you are thinking it was a lot of work, then you are absolutely correct. If you are thinking I must be absolutely berserk for doing this twice, you are also not wrong. But allow me to explain myself.

The first time I went on a trip with friends, it was an unmatched experience for me, so of course I volunteered to take these responsibilities once again. I was stressed, and maybe even a tad bit anxious, but the moments shared filled with friends, silly jokes and exaggerated bouts of laughter made for some of my favourite memories. This last sentence may not make a lot of sense based on pure reasoning, but that is the essence of trips with friends. You'd have to take one to know.
