Morgan Freeman in Talks to Star in Disney's “Nutcracker”

Actor Morgan Freeman is in negotiations to join Disney in its upcoming live-action-film "The Nutcracker and the Four Realms". Co-starring in the film are Mackenzie Foy and Misty Copeland. The live-action movie is based on "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" by E.T.A. Hoffmann, an 1816 story in which a girl named Clara is forced to take care of a Christmas toy Nutcracker doll that comes to life and defeats an evil Mouse King with seven heads. If Freeman agrees to join the cast, he would play Drosselmayer, the mysterious godfather of Clara. Mistry Copeland will be playing the leading ballerina.
