After receiving backlash for the trailer of Cats earlier this year, director Tom Hooper is now requesting the audience to give the movie a chance. The trailer was filled with heavy VFX work, and it was hard for fans to even recognise the cast, starring Taylor Swift and Idris Elba as anthropomorphic cats with a blend of digital fur technology. However, the cast of the movie rather had a positive take on the backlash; while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the actors said that they were just pleased that their production was receiving so much attention. Even though the movie has proven to be a flop in the box office, the director still hopes to recover.
