Ekushe Boi Mela has just started, meaning wonderful news for all the booklovers amongst us. There will, as always, be fantastic selection of books and novels by brilliant writers of the country. However, it is safe to assume that the best seller will be Humayun Ahmed once again. It's no wonder why, as he was a fantastic storyteller, writer and visionary. We hope however that this year, a new writer manages to pick up the mantle left behind by the legend and take his place as the bestseller for this year's Boi Mela. We also hope that now that he is no longer amongst us, his works can be given a new lease in life by turning them into more popular story telling mediums such as comic strips for the children stories he wrote and the new and ever popular graphic novel theme to bring to life his more critically acclaimed stories and series. We hope this idea gives people out there some inspiration to bring his work into the new generation.
