Brokeback Mountain

Francis Lee's debut featured the much awaited "God's Own Country" this year at the Berlin International Film Festival. The film shows us the insights to a love story between a young sheep farmer and Romanian migrant set on the moors of West Yorkshire, in the North of England. A film that talks about social issues such as homosexuality were previously entered in the 'Teddy' section of this year's Berlinale. However, nowadays these films can be seen in other segments of the festivals as well. At the press conference, Francis stated that he is happy to see such a change as it further adds to the voice of equality when it comes to gay rights.
