Star Showbiz: How would you evaluate making your debut in the industry?

Siam Ahmed: My first film Poramon 2 was released early in 2018. The plethora of love and affection it brought me was beyond my expectations. It was a huge commercial success, too. All in all, it was like a dream debut where I could not ask for any better.

Showbiz: 2018 must have been your lucky year!

Siam: It indeed was extremely lucky for me. It was a very busy year as well, since I had to shoot multiple films at a time. I did not even have the time to divert my concentration to anything else. Poramon 2 and Fagun Haway consumed most of my time. But I savored all the while and I am content with how things turned out in the end.

Showbiz: How do you feel, now that the audiences' level of expectation from you has increased with consecutive hit numbers?

Siam: I feel honored. I never thought my films would create such a fascinating fan-base and support for me when I started. I am utterly grateful. I wish to work hard to deliver with even better numbers in the future.

Showbiz: What unique qualities do you think make you stand out from the crowd?

Siam: I am very sincere to my work. I try to show total commitment and endeavor, as long as I am responsible for a better outcome. Slacking off or shirking the duty has never been in my characteristics. And I believe in creating a difference through my works. I wish to break the taboos, like the way we did in Dohon. It showed that even a goon without any touch of the typical sweet, innocent personality could turn out to be a real hero. A new wave films is now prevalent, and we all must strive to establish something positive with this wave.

Showbiz: Do you have any specific plan regarding your career?

Siam: The love and support of my audience candidly increase my obligations towards them. So I wholeheartedly wish to do more quality films that will not fail to win the audiences' hearts. Fagun Haway will be released in 2019. The whole team is very excited regarding the film.
